All bets are off for our Kentucky Derby Party!
You’re invited to celebrate the Derby in style at our award-winning Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday, May 6th from 4PM to 8PM! We will transform the Plaza into a glamorous party featuring a jumbo viewing screen to watch the race, place your bets, and enjoy live music. So put on your fancy hats and bowties, grab a Mint Julep, and let the fun begin!
Schedule of Events:
4PM: It’s off to the races as the Plaza opens to kick off the party! Head to one of our event bars to enjoy specialty drinks provided by Stateside Vodka, Z.Alexander Brown, Blade & Bow and Patron. Be sure to wear your dancing shoes, Insiders, because we will have the band Megafly here to throw the smoothest dance party south of Louisville! Plus check out all the pre-race fun including a photo booth, specialty activations, and more!
4PM to 6:30PM: Purchase raffle tickets and pick the horse you think will win first, place or show. Place your “bets” on your favorite horses by placing your tickets in their raffle basket and 3 lucky winners will be selected from the winning horses’ baskets! Prizes will be given to the horse that places all 3 positions. Prize packages include various items and gift cards from participating Avalon retailers & restaurants. All raffle proceeds will benefit Bearfoot Ranch. Raffle tickets are venmo purchases only.
6:50PM: Tune into the jumbo screen to watch the most anticipated 2 minutes in sports and cheer on your favorite horse! After the race, winners from the raffle will be notified.
7:15PM to 8PM: This Kentucky Derby Party doesn’t end after the horses are back in the stables! Stick around as Megafly closes out the evening while you enjoy another specialty cocktail.
