The Lighting of Avalon

Kick off the holiday season with The Lighting of Avalon, our most magical event of the year! Join us along The Boulevard for an evening full of festive fun for the whole family complete with live music and entertainment, family activities, and a special appearance from Santa Claus himself. The celebration is all leading up to when we light up the 40 foot tree on top of concierge, officially marking the start of the holiday season.
Schedule of Events:
2PM to 3PM: Atlanta Figure Skating Club
Gather around the rink for a magical ice skating performance featuring students of all ages.
3PM to 5PM: Activity Row
Take the family for a stroll along Avalon Boulevard for face painting, holiday crafts, photo booth fun, and more!
3PM to 10PM: Avalon On Ice
Avalon on Ice officially opens to the public at 3PM.
3PM to 5:15PM: Holiday Performances
- 3PM to 3:20PM: Nutcracker Performance by Atlanta Dance Theater
- 3:30PM to 4:00PM: The Davis Academy
- 4:15PM to 5:15PM: Run Katie Run
5:30PM to 7:30PM: Bogey and the Viceroy
Bogey and the Viceroy is BACK with another spectacular holiday performance you won’t want to miss!
7PM: Tree Lights
Help Santa countdown to the lighting of our magnificent 40-foot tree to kick off the perfect holiday at Avalon!
Parking Information:
Guests may park in any of our free parking decks, valet at 3rd Street, or park across the street at Gwinnett Technical College where we will have shuttles running to our property. Because parking will fill up quickly, we recommend carpooling or using a ride-share service to ensure a smooth arrival and departure.
